Official Press Release
SUPERGIRL #5, the latest issue in the hit series, has sold out at DC Comics just one day after arriving in stores on February 22. Now, DC Comics sends this special issue back to press for a new, second printing!
Scheduled to arrive in stores on March 22, the SUPERGIRL #5 Second Printing (JAN068086) reprints the story written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Ian Churchill & Norm Rapmund. The cover presents Michael Turner's drawings of Supergirl and Kara Zor-El from the covers to the first printing, presented together for the first time!
"What an unexpected surprise,"
says Loeb. "I am so grateful to all the readers and retailers who have stood by this book and made SUPERGIRL a superstar once more. In particular, I'm so happy for the Kara Zor-El fans who have waited the longest. The entire crew - Mike Turner, Norm Rapmund, Aspen Color, Peter Steigerwald, Richard Starkings and my partner and pal, Ian Churchill - all share equally in the success of this book. Editorially, Eddie Berganza, Jeanine Schaefer and Tom Palmer, Jr., have supported us like no one else can. They are the very best.
Adds Loeb, "Of course, this is incredibly bittersweet in that it is also my last issue (for now!) of The Girl of Steel. I've heard what Greg Rucka has in mind and it's absolutely fantastic. Until next time, be well, and thank you all."
The SUPERGIRL #5 Second Printing (JAN068086) is available for order now and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 22 with a cover price of $3.99 U.S. To ensure delivery on that date, retailers must place orders by Sunday, March 12; please note that quantities will be limited and may sell out before March 12.
Retailers may order the issue by contacting their Diamond Customer Service Representative or DC Sales Representative, or by email at reorders@diamondcomics.com.

Hello there.. The new superman movie is great and I cant wait to watch it. Here's one of the reason why :
Director Bryan Singer wants to make things clear on his "Superman Returns" mythology - that parts 3 and 4 never happened!
Singer along with screenwriters Michael Gough and Dan Harris will be behind 4 comic book tie-ins that will cover the missing years of what happens while the man in blue leaves earth after "Superman II", until his return.
The four volumes, entitled "Krypton to Earth", "Ma Kent", "Lex Luthor" and "Lois Lane" will be released between June 7 and 28. "Superman Returns" opens June 30. To get the full details on the books, head on Over Here.
